The mission of the Middlesex County STEM Charter School is to provide rigorous science, technology, engineering, and math curricula in a diverse and nurturing environment to spark students’ interest at early ages in STEM careers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1- Is there an eligibility requirement to apply and to enroll?
There is no eligibility requirement to apply. Any student who is eligible to attend Perth Amboy public schools is eligible to attend Middlesex County STEM Charter School.
2- What documents does Middlesex County STEM Charter School require for enrollment?
Middlesex County STEM Charter School requires the same documents for enrollment as public elementary schools in Perth Amboy require.
3- Does Middlesex County STEM Charter School offer transportation services?
Yes. Students who attend Middlesex County STEM Charter School and reside in Perth Amboy City will receive FREE transportation services. Parents of students who reside outside of Perth Amboy City will have to provide transportation for their child(ren).
4- Does Middlesex County STEM Charter School offer special education services?
Yes. MCSCS offers special education services. Being a public school, Middlesex County STEM Charter School follows all applicable New Jersey regulations, Individual with Disabilities Education Act, and Section 504 with respect to special education services in public schools.
5- Does Middlesex County STEM Charter School offer services for English Language Learners?
Yes. Middlesex County STEM Charter School offers the English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. Being a public school, Middlesex County STEM Charter School complies with the New Jersey Department of Education regulations pertaining to the ESL services.
6- Does Middlesex County STEM Charter School give enrollment preference to siblings?
Yes. Middlesex County STEM Charter School gives enrollment preference to siblings. If a sibling wins the lottery to enroll the school, the other sibling(s) are also eligible to enroll. Parents are still required to submit an application for each sibling by March 1, 2019. There will be open/rolling enrollment after March 1st or after the waitlist exhausted based on the space availability in grades.
7- How will the parents of students who win the lottery to enroll be informed of the registration procedure?
Middlesex County STEM Charter School will inform the parents via email and phone calls. Enrollment procedure for MCSCS are the same as those for traditional public schools. Parents will be asked to submit documents between Monday, March 14 – Monday, March 28, 2022, to complete the enrollment process. Any remaining seats that are not filled with the students who win the lottery will be filled with students from the wait list.
