The educational program at Middlesex County STEM Charter School is specifically designed to introduce all students to an early, consistent, and high-level exposure to the STEM curriculum. According to National Education Statistics, students from low socioeconomic backgrounds have a very low participation rate when it comes to STEM curriculum. Middlesex County STEM Charter School will work to close the achievement gap between the minority students and Caucasian/Asian students by means of a school experience for all students that offers and encourages programmatic student participation in STEM-based curriculum.
Middlesex County STEM Charter School will implement rigorous, research-based, and technology-enriched STEM curriculum coupled with distinct and innovative organizational practices. The innovative STEM curriculum at Middlesex County STEM Charter School will be delivered through the following programs:
- Everyday Mathematics (Problem-based math curriculum for grades K - 6)
- Project M3 (Gifted & talented curriculum for grades 3 - 6)
- Smithsonian’s Science and Technology for Children (Inquiry-based science curriculum for grades K through 8)
